Global recognition, regional support for a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) student or candidate

As a Canadian CPA student or candidate, you benefit from an enabling learning environment that recognises the need for flexibility. Your journey includes workshops and seminars, opportunities for one-on-one interaction, individual and group feedback, internet support, and webinars.

Our programs are competency-based, using a comprehensive, integrated approach, and diverse teaching and learning methodologies, as well as various evaluation approaches.

CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP)

The CPA PEP is a combination of elearning and a two-day, face-to-face workshop for each CPA PEP module.

The face-to-face workshops are offered over a Saturday/Sunday* in the Caribbean. Due to the peer-to-peer learning environment of these workshops, a minimum enrollment is required. As a result, CPA Canada does not currently offer these workshops on each island in the Caribbean for each module. Candidates pursuing the CPA PEP should plan for inter-regional travel during your course of study. Designated dates and locations of the in-person sessions will be communicated well in advance to allow for scheduling and planning. At a minimum, the face-to-face workshops will be held in Barbados to facilitate travel.

* In those instances where a candidate may not be able to attend a portion of the in-person sessions due to religious practices, you may be permitted to complete a comprehensive assignment instead.

CPA preparatory courses (formerly CPA PREP)

This is not a one-way discourse – instead, it is an interactive learning environment where you can access your online facilitators on a regular basis. Online discussion boards and student chat groups allow for engaging interaction. All CPA preparatory course-end examinations are administered in your country of residence.
