Registration: Request a transcript evaluation

Find out what steps you need to take to have your academic transcripts evaluated for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) — the first step toward becoming a Canadian CPA.

The first step in the registration process to become a Canadian CPA is to complete a transcript evaluation request form. This form is a mandatory component of the application process, as it informs Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) of the documentation that will be forthcoming to accurately assess your eligibility and prerequisite coverage. Further instructions can be found within the form itself.

In order to properly evaluate your request, CPA Canada must have verification of your studies through the submission of an official transcript. If you are unable to provide an official transcript due to pending graduation, you will be required to provide official transcripts upon graduation.

If you don’t have a degree and wish to register for CPA PEP or the CPA Prerequisite Education Program (CPA PREP) under the Mature Student Path, you will be required to provide detailed employment history, three letters of reference and a personal letter of intent.

An official response will normally take five to 10 days following submission of all transcripts. The eligibility assessment response will help you understand your future program options.

Please note, all prerequisites required for admission into the CPA PEP are offered as individual courses within the CPA preparatory courses (formerly CPA PREP).
